For Martin (Marty) O’Reilly & the Old Soul Orchestra, family plays a central role in their music. The quartet—Marty O’Reilly [vocals, guitar], Ben Berry [upright bass], Matt Goff [drums, percussion], and Chris Lynch [violin, keys]—have experienced their journey together as a family, while inviting fans into an extended family through consistently unforgettable gigs.

After logging countless miles on the road, generating 10 million-plus streams independently, and earning acclaim from Glide Magazine, Pop Matters, Cowboys & Indians, and more, Marty and co. evolve together once again on their third full-length album, Signal Fires. “Recording Stereoscope was really intense,” Marty states. “With Signal Fires, we wanted to make the process more lighthearted and fun. We were in a giant funky house overlooking the coast. Our loved ones were there, and we were all hanging out. The positivity transferred to the album.” With family and connections in mind, Marty O’Reilly & the Old Soul Orchestra welcome everyone into their family with Signal Fires and more to come.

“I started playing music as medicine for myself to feel good and digest some melancholy,” Marty leaves off. “Over time, I realized if music makes me feel good, the people around me who become a part of it will feel good too. It connects us on the same wavelength. I hope to give the world something real and refreshing.
