Hold fast and make ready, the Swashbuckler's Ball is back for a glorious 13th year! Join the crew for Portland's Pirate Prom on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 as we return to the grand halls of Portland Elk's Lodge #142. A fabulous night out for pirates, buccaneers, and nautical miscreants of all stripes. Dance the night away while enjoying some of the greatest music, grub, and grog this side of Tortuga!

BELTAINE
We’re excited to have Beltaine return for their second year at SwashBall! This
Celtic band hails from Portland and features hammered dulcimer, guitar,
accordion, bass guitar, flute and pennywhistle. Performing both instrumental
and vocal tunes, Beltaine offers a unique blend of instrumentation and
musical styles. The original and traditional music performed by Beltaine is
inspired from Celtic, folk, rock and classical sources.

BERGAMOT BURLESQUE
A premiere entertainer on SwashBall stages for 10 years! Bergamot returns
with an impressive troupe of performers and their signature sultry nautical
burlesque shows. Don't miss their TWO performances on the Quarterdeck
and Laissez-Faires stages!

BIDDY ON THE BENCH
Portland's own, bringing Irish rebel songs & shanties, lively session tunes, and
mournful Gaelic ballads. The Biddys are a favorite Belowdecks mainstay!

CHERVONA
The ultimate International Folk and dance party machine out of Portland,
Oregon! Combining the energy and passion of Eastern European pop and
polka, Jamaican ska, American jazz, punk, and disco, with Romani folk music,
Chervona brings to the game a fiery new and compelling sound. With
authenticity and spirit, shining with soulful brass and sonorous woodwinds,
hearts are freed by the traditional sounds of the old world wrapped in
energetic new interpretations. Chervona transforms any moment into the
year’s celebration!

COMING UP THREES
Catch CU3 for a high-energy, Celtic-inspired, pint-raising set on the
Quarterdeck Stage! Coming Up Threes is a six-piece Irish pub band that
formed in Portland, OR in early 2012. The band features Bill Tollner on guitar
and lead vocals; multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bauer on penny whistle, banjo, bodhran, percussion, and vocals; Naoyuki Ochiai on fiddle, accordion, and
vocals; Chad Marks-Fife on Fiddle, Mandolin, and vocals; Charlie Norris on
bass; and David Fender on drums.

THE SCUPPERMONKEYS
An Irish band with a Pirate habit! The Scuppermonkeys are a Seattle-based
Irish band inspired by the tunes of Ireland... but with a pirating habit they just
can't kick! They perform traditional tunes and drinking songs, Irish rebel and
folk music, roaring sea shanties and stirring ballads, and much, much more,
all with a healthy helping of swashbuckling! Featuring strong vocals, acoustic
guitar, bodhrán, fiddle, Irish whistle, and more, The Scuppermonkeys' sound is
characterized by foot-stomping rhythm and melodies you just can't help but
sing along to!

all? Don't worry, we'll give you a map!

About the venue:
The Milwaukie-Portland Lodge #142 is one of the largest Lodges in the
country with a 63,000-square-foot building housed on 5.7 acres on
McLoughlin Blvd, next to the TriMet parking garage. Located just south of
Downtown Milwaukie, this exciting venue allows us to feature multiple stages
and multiple bars! Conveniently located at the end of the Orange MAX line.
This year's venue also features ample on-site parking!
