Senti tu d'amor: A Valentine's Concert

For this Valentine's celebration, Musica Universalis has joined forces with local artist and well-known British stage and movie actor, Jonathan Cullen, to bring you a special Valentine's concert of music and poetry in the name of love. Sweet love. Jealous love. Unrequited love.

Our arrangements of lively medieval dances and plaintive ballads are paired with the poetry of Françios Villon, Guillaume de Machaut, Dorothy Parker and more. We even venture to the future with arrangements of Kurt Weill and George Brassens favorites. Together we weave poetry, prose and music together to entertain and intrigue.

Musica Universalis is Portland's own eclectic medieval band performing on cimbalom, viola da gamba, violin, recorders, dulcians, bagpipes, percussion and more.
